and communications products, received the Consumer Electronics
Association's (CES) "Innovations 2003 Design and Engineering
Award" for its Beamer?Videophone Station.
Beamer
videophone instantly adds video to phone calls, enabling
users to see the person they are speaking with. Beamer
videophone works with any home phone over any standard
(analog) phone line, and there is no additional cost
to the call.

category judged by a panel of 30 prominent industry
experts. The Industrial Designers Society of America
(IDSA) endorsed and acted as advisors to the judges.
Product evaluations were based on: value to user, aesthetics,
contributions to the quality of life and the product's
innovative qualities.
The
CES Innovation Award is the second honor awarded to
Beamer videophone in the last two months. In December
of 2002, Beamer videophone received the 2003 Good Housekeeping
"Good Buy" Award. The Good Housekeeping Institute's
award was based on ingenuity, value and exceptional
performance.
